Touch Bespoke Joinery is a constantly growing company, and time to time we will require new Bench Joiners, Carpenters and occasionally Apprentices.

APPRENTICE JOINER

We are currently looking for a motivated and hands-on Apprentice Joiner to join our team in our Chelmsford workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone keen to develop practical joinery skills and learn from experienced professionals.

Role Overview

  • Assist in the production of bespoke joinery items.
  • Learn to set up and operate workshop machinery (table saws, planers, spindle moulders, etc.).
  • Support the team in completing client projects to a high standard, while following health and safety guidelines.
  • Gain experience reading and working from technical drawings.
  • Take part in occasional on-site installations under the guidance of senior team members.

Key Details

  • Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM (weekends off). Some overtime may be required.
  • Location: Our workshop is located on a farm in the Chelmsford, Essex, with limited public transport. You must be able to travel reliably to and from work.
  • Training: Receive hands-on instruction in various woodworking techniques, tool usage, and project workflows.
  • Progression: This apprenticeship will help you build solid foundations for a career in joinery, with future opportunities for growth.

What We’re Looking For

  • Genuine interest in woodworking and hands-on craftsmanship.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of practical tasks or school-based woodworking would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Enthusiasm for learning how to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Must be 15+ years old, with reliability in commuting to our workshop.
